Cover Love #12

The cover we love this week is…

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

This awesome cover is the work of Thomas Walker, John Bartlett and Rich Deas. First of all, we love how it ties in with the cover of the first book in the series, Six of CrowsWe also love the great, ominous crow in the sky, whose silhouette forms the outline of the towers at the bottom of the book. We love the deep red color chosen to outline Leigh Bardugo’s name; it really makes it pop and looks great with the beautiful red pages of the book. And finally, we love the weathered, script-like font, which goes perfectly with the parchment textured background. All in all, we think these elements add up to create an intriguing and timeless cover that is addicting to look at!

Crooked Kingdom is the sequel to Six of Crows. The book tells the story of a rag-tag team of teenage criminals as they attempt to pull of the biggest heists around. The world building is astounding and the characters are intense and richly crafted—much like this beautiful cover!

We love this series, both inside and out! What do you guys think of this cover?
