So, we only have two finals left and we are getting really excited for summer! All we can think about is what we are going to read in all of our free time! So, here is what we are looking forward to reading (hopefully) in the month of May…

Torment by Lauren Kate

Leah restarted the Fallen series a few weeks ago and only had time to get through the first one before school really started to kick our butts. Hopefully, the second one is as good as we remember it being (we always felt it was better than the first)!

11.22.63 or The Stand by Stephen King

Our mom has been telling us to read 11.22.63 for what feels like forever and Leah would really like to get around to it this month. However, our mom has also told us to give The Stand a go. Leah has both and she hopes to take at least one of them on this month, they are huge so it may end up being the only book she reads haha!

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

Meg thought she finished this series last summer, but then she heard there was going to be a third one and she was simultaneously angry and happy. She will probably give the series another re-read before she dives into this new one this month.

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare is one of Meg’s all time favorite authors. She reads every book she releases pretty close to the minute it comes out and she has been majorly anticipating Lord of Shadows since she read Lady Midnight last year. You can bet that she will finish it in a single day.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses is one of Meg’s most favorite books she has ever read. Sadly, she hasn’t gotten the chance yet to read A Court of Mist and Fury, something she is hoping to remedy this month (in time to read A Court of Wings and Ruin).

What are you guys hoping to read this month? Are you being extra ambitious because of the start of summer or are you hoping to ease into it a bit? Let us know in the comments!

    1. YESS ACOMAF is a huge book. (Its actually pretty daunting to be honest) We hope to get to it though so we can be all caught up on all the talk about the series! We hope so too, we’ve really not been able to read as much as we would like to lately. You have a GREAT reading month as well 🙂

  2. ACOMAF is amazing, and ACOWAR just killed me!
I’d love to hear what you think about Torment, I read Fallen years ago and loved it but just never got round to reading the rest of the series (I’m terrible at at finishing series’)

    1. Oh my goodness! You’ve already finished ACOWAR?! That is awesome haha. We are so terrible at finishing series as well (as is apparent from this post lol) but I have actually read Torment (and the rest of the Fallen series), and I really loved it; it definitely gets better with each book. And, actually, the way it ended was super satisfying. I thought it totally did justice to the series and the characters. Let us know if you decide to give it another go! 🙂

      1. Awesome, that definitely make me want to continue on!
Yeah, I read ACOWAR in like 3 days, which was crazy considering in was in between exams.
Also have you seen that Fallen has a film? I watched the trailer a few days ago and it looked super cheesy but I still want to see it

      2. Great! Oh wow that is pretty amazing that you finished it so fast even when you had exams! We’re taking that as a testament to how good it is 🙂

hahah yeah we totally knew there is a film for Fallen; it was really weird, they filmed it a long time ago but it took like years for them to set a release date and put out the trailer. Not sure what happened there, but despite the cheesiness we too want to see it lol
